Landscapes
While drawing on my computer yesterday, I noticed that I have problems with structures in the background of my drawings. I usually do characters and poses, so landscapes are relatively hard for me anyway.

A Comic Strip
I'm thinking of doing a comic strip.
Does anybody have any advice on what to do the comic on, or where to send one in to get it published?
Because I really like the idea of a political cartoon like the ones I see to represent our government, I think they're neat.

Commissions!
I do take commissions, although I do not have any artwork to display at the moment.
You may directly contact me on gmail. aspen.otaku@gmail.com -
My prices start at $10 for a portrait line art, $20 for a torso shot line art, $30 for a full body line art, $60 for torso shot colored, $40 for portrait colored, and $80 for a full body colored. Any added details or additional characters cost $5.
I may be a bit pricey, but I'm broke right now, so I have to make the best of what I have at the moment. (Crayola colored pencils and extremely dry Copic markers, some old water colors, and not a lot of acrylic or oil paints.)
https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1v-ORKo3RAenPOD7iENnysLe6ZXQFqnMiZZb2U1uShP8/edit?usp=sharing (actually it turns out that I do have some art with me. But I was 16/17 when I did these and I was using my laptop from school, not my tablet).
* A short side note, I do have some things that I am uncomfortable drawing, so please ask me if I'm comfortable with something before you ask the price. *

Adventures With New Technology
As you can probably guess, my laptop came.
I drew a character in a free art website called Kleki.com. (I'll post a picture of the finished product in a bit).
The computer came with a personalized stylus, and I'm able to flip the entire screen backwards on the computer and turn it into a tablet to draw on. It really is amazing.

A Work in Progress
After four years, I can finally announce that I'm actually getting somewhere with my first book. That sounds pretty pathetic as a writer, but I'm still in high school, so you have to factor in all of the classes and the fact that I'm a teenager with a (mild) addiction to the internet. Of course it would take a long time. HaHa.
I suppose I should get into telling you about my work in progress, shouldn't I?
~ It takes place in the year 3,037. A massive world war (4) had just ended and the United States of America was left to its own devices. The President was still in power, but he lacked any and all authority over the war-torn country. A young man by the name of Greyson Amone (pronounced Am-ӧ-n) gathered a group of rebels and overtook the capitol, making it their own haven. The country prospered and they made their own resources to live off of, not carbon emitting poison resources.
~ All the people who still believed in the corrupt president weren't allowed to partake in the renewal of the country, as they were against the idea in the first place. This is the one and only sign of poverty in the States since the 89th president. These people lived in make-shift slums and were considered "the rotten".
~ Greyson was also the leader of a cult which believed in peace and tranquility. He and his followers conducted a ritual that would summon a being of great power - Adad (Adad, Master of the Earth is a Mesopotamian Storm God responsible for the destructive and regenerative powers of nature. The name may come from the Arabic hadda "to break" or haddat "thunder"). This would be the God the main character is fused with.
~ Greyson is almost 2000 years old, he dabbled in dark magic and accidentally froze himself in time, making his appearance the same as the day he was changed (28).
Okay, so that was just the background information you need to know before you read the actual story. I'm not going to spoil anything to you, because I want you to read it for yourselves.
There are so many more things that I would like to write about, but I can't reveal too much, or the story won't be as fun to read. But, all you need to know, is that there are elves, and some LGBT+ relationships.

Who Am I?
Greetings, and welcome to my blog!
My name is Aspen, I'm 18, and I draw some and write some.
As the oldest child in a family of six, life can become pretty full. Although I'm not a very social or active person, I am constantly on the move. Art is a passion of mine, and has been since early childhood. I liked to write little stories and hide them in a folder labeled "For 18 year old me ONLY". I looked back on those stories lately and realized my talent for writing was prominent even as a seven or eight year old.
A close look at my favorite story: The reason why the mouse ran up the clock was to ring the bell, for the clock had been broken for years in that house.
I actually love that concept a lot. I'm now realizing my potential as a creator is far more significant now than I ever thought it was. I kept thinking to myself that, "Maybe I won't get into writing, or illustration". ~ Boy was I wrong ~
I'm not only a writer, I also draw and sketch characters (not so bad, if I do say so myself). I'm getting into water coloring some of my works, and people adore it. I can't fully understand the complexity of emotions that people receive from my art, but I'll take any and all constructive comments.
I can't really get 100% into digital art, but that's soon not to be a problem anymore. I'm getting a laptop that allows me to draw on the screen 😄
